A Fond Farewell and a Bright New Beginning
Dear FIA Community,
As we stand at the threshold of a significant milestone for The Future Innovators Academy (FIA), I am filled with a blend of excitement and nostalgia. Today, I have two important announcements to share – a heartfelt farewell to an incredible partnership and the dawn of a new chapter in our journey.
Celebrating Our Partnership with Makerworks
Firstly, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Makerworks and their vibrant community. Without their support, FIA’s journey would have been vastly different. Makerworks provided us with the necessary space to kickstart our dream and embraced us within their incredible network. Their belief in our mission and unwavering support played a crucial role in shaping FIA into what it is today.
Our New Home at 3909 Research Park Drive
With a mix of joy and gratitude, I am thrilled to announce that starting February 1st, FIA will be operating from our very own facility located at 3909 Research Park Drive, Suite 400, Ann Arbor. This move marks a significant leap forward for FIA, allowing us to expand and enhance our STEM programs and camps in ways we've always envisioned.
Our new home is not just a physical space – it’s a symbol of the growth and success of our community. It’s a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of every student, parent, and supporter who has been a part of the FIA family.
Transitioning to Our New Location
As we transition to our new facility, I want to thank the Ann Arbor community for their continuous support and encouragement. This move is a collective achievement, and every member of the FIA community has played a part in this success story.
Starting in February, all our programs will be held at our new address. We are currently in the process of moving in and setting up, and I can’t wait to welcome each one of you to our new, dedicated space for learning, exploration, and innovation.

A Continuation of Our Mission
This move to a new facility is more than just a change of location. It represents the evolution of FIA and our commitment to providing the best possible environment for fostering young innovators. Our mission remains the same – to empower the next generation of thinkers, creators, and leaders through hands-on, engaging STEM education.
I am incredibly excited about this new phase in our journey and look forward to seeing the wonderful things our students will achieve in our new home. Here’s to new beginnings, endless possibilities, and continued innovation at FIA.
Thank you once again to Makerworks, our FIA families, and the entire Ann Arbor community. Let’s make 2024 a year of incredible growth and learning!
With warm regards,
Andi
